The Constant Gardener - Ben Pike
Ben’s mum was a passionate gardener growing up, and it rubbed off him to such an extent that he trained to become a gardener when his mother died in 2005. Doing so helped process his loss while also being able to care for the plants she had planted.
Ben was trained by St John Stephen, The Hanging Gardener of Babylon, who focussed Ben’s attention on methodically learning about plants while developing his instinct for gardening.
In 2007, Ben set up The Constant Gardener in North London, spending nearly ten years in the capital developing his gardening skills before moving to Suffolk in 2016 to start his family.
Ben now works primarily on designing, creating, caring for and restoring gardens and outside spaces. Ben advocates low impact and sustainable gardening to increase biodiversity while using sustainable materials in a wild, nature-friendly environment.
